Congratulations to a Great XC Season!

I want to give a big congratulations to all of the athletes that participated in the Cubs Fall '17 XC season. The season would not have been the same without you. I am very fortunate to be able to coach such inspiring youth. All of the athletes took on the challenges I presented in practices and meets (for those that competed). Whether it was hill repeats, sprints, or 1000M runs around the track, all of the athletes pushed hard.
Different runners have different motivations for running, and as a coach it is always a fun job seeing and hearing what the athletes like about running and what motivates them. Whether it is running in nature, PRing, or being with friends at practice, all of these aspects are what make cross country such a unique and special sport. This is also why I allow recreational and competitive runners on the team. Each child brings something to the team, and it does not always have to revolve around competing. I am proud to have a team of supportive parents and awesome athletes that embrace all runners and athletes to create this amazing team!
GO CUBS!
